Best Trip Ever Absolutely AMAZING. This is a very small lodge, with only 6 cabins. The staff, lodging and food were top-notch and the twice daily safari trips were well above and beyond what I had ever imagined. We saw an abundance of wildlife on every safari trip - and closer than I had expected. Even at the lodge we had daily visiting elephants, impala, warthog, birds and even lions!

Exceptional A once in a lifetime safari experience! The game drives and bush walks are spectacular with highly experienced guides and trackers. The accommodations, food and staff were exceptional.

South African safari at its best RockFig Safari Lodge delivered all that we hoped for. The location allows easy access to Hoedspruit Airport, important for our arrival from Jo'burg and onward travel to Cape Town. The welcome from the staff was friendly and efficient, so that we were quickly restoring ourselves at lunch overlooking an infinity pool that frequently doubles as an elephant watering hole! The game drives were wonderful and we were expertly guided by Lorance and our tracker Eddie. Their knowledge and authority was first rate and matched only by their warmth and good humour. The memories of the game sightings will stay with us and our children for a very long time. The accommodation at the lodge is spacious and luxurious, although it is easy to spend all your time in the Lodge itself watching the wildlife from the terrace. I was truck by the community and friendship that all the staff share, which makes RockFig extra special.

The very best experience! We had the most amazing holiday at Rockfig. The team here has created something really special. The fact that there are only 6 guest lodges means that there is a really friendly atmosphere - it felt like our home and we loved exchanging stories of our twice daily drives. I can’t begin to say what was best but we did see the big 5 (a lot), we did learn loads (thanks Eddie and Liam), we ate a huge amount and I can’t do the hospitality justice - drinks by Ishmael were fab! Every single member of the team is a total rock(fig) star….you made our trip so very memorable.

A truly wonderful safari A wonderful and truly exceptional experience. The 6 beautiful lodges are utter luxury and we were spoilt from start to finish. The game drives were exceptionally well planned -thanks to Lorence and Petros. All the staff were fantastic, the food was superb and the location was unbelievable. Magical!!

Luxury and Professionalism Fabulous 4 night stay at Rock Fig. Everything surpassed my expectations. From the daily greetings by Marguerite and staff to Butler Ismael standing by for our drink orders to the our fabulous guide/trracker team of Trust and Dani. All were perfect. Our lodge itself was immaculate and spacious and air conditioned. Beautiful toiletry products, luxurious towels and bathrobes. Did I mention the food? 5 star all the way. Beautifully presented and delicious featuring a variety of local game. The pool on hot afternoons was a welcome treat - especially when the elephants came by for a drink. Game drives were excellent and saw all Big 5 within the 4 days. Tons of elephants and giraffes and of course impalas. Leopards were elusive but finally on the last day saw one. This is a highly professionally run lodge with staff who understand hospitality well and are always checking on the well being of the guests. Another plus is the fact that you can walk unaccompanied to your room due to the fencing on the property. Game drives were highly informative and only 4 passengers per vehicle made it very comfortable. Dani was exceptionally knowledgeable with a very funny sense of humour. His partner Kelli was a real sweetie and a consummate professional. Sundowners using the best gin and great tonics were always a highlight of the day. We will be back!

Awesome Safari, perfect location Wow, what an absolutely awesome safari, from the moment we arrived it felt special, exactly what we wanted. 2 safari’s a day, seeing the big 5 and the ugly 5 was a delight, Danie and Trust were brilliant, so knowledgeable and great fun. The lodge, the food, the animals, just insanely amazing. Having only 4 per jeep was so good, everyone felt like family by the end. If you’re going to that part of the world, Rockfig has to be top of the list, all the team are fantastic, thank you all for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary such a memorable occasion, Paul & Bev Griffiths x

RockFig is the BEST If you’re looking for a top of the line safari stay, RockFig is the place. Two game drives a day. Only 6 rooms so it is very personal. The guides and trackers make sure you see the Big 5 and other animals during your stay. 4 nights is needed to have the opportunity to see everything.
